History and Objectives .

“I create art to express the way in which I observe the world – how it is, and how it can be.I am fascinated by illusions and contradictions.I try to unite elements of colors with textures. My art is strongly rooted with a feeling of belonging, and a connection to the land.”

Through her mosaics, Patricia materializes various themes, from the mystical to the daily life in the world of wine making, to joyful and colorful events in the fauna and flora, as well as the typical Chilean rural landscapes.
Her current focus is the Lo Abarca project. With the backdrop of a rural town in the V Region of Chile, over 40 mosaics are displayed along its unpaved streets.
Its church, cemetery, kids’ playground and even the street names are decorated with picturesque mosaics.

The same social inclination to which she dedicated twenty years of her life to UNICEF, leads her to fuse culture and art to the social realities of Chile in this project.
Located barely 4kms away from the Pacific Ocean, close to the cities of Cartagena and the Port of San Antonio, Lo Abarca is a town of important cultural significance to the V Region of Chile (its church dates back to 1775).
